Board of Education, San José-Evergreen Community College Trustee District 7, San Jose, CA

Clay is a dedicated educator and candidate for the San José-Evergreen Community College District. Tommy Butler

Tommy has been diligently serving as the Ward 1 representative on the Greeley City Council since 2019. With his dedication and commitment to the community, he is now seeking re-election for another term to continue advocating for the needs of his constituents.
During his first term, Tommy has been instrumental in addressing the pressing issue of affordable housing in Greeley. Recognizing the urgency of the matter, he has actively participated in city council votes to approve various projects that aim to provide affordable housing options. Under his leadership, Greeley has seen the development of over 920 units of truly affordable housing since last year, including the largest Habitat for Humanity development in the state of Colorado. Moreover, Tommy worked tirelessly to expand the G-Hope program, which assists individuals with home down-payment assistance, ultimately enabling more people to live and work in Greeley.
In addition to his unwavering advocacy for affordable housing, Tommy has also prioritized sustainability initiatives within the city. He has consistently pushed for expanded recycling services, which led to the establishment of a glass drop-off recycling program. In its inaugural year, this program successfully recycled an impressive 21.66 tons of glass. Tommy has also been a strong voice in advocating for equitable infrastructure investment. His efforts have resulted in crucial repairs to sidewalks and roads, including securing funding for the renovation of the 5th Street sidewalk and road between 14th and 23rd Avenues.
With his impressive track record of accomplishments, Tommy is determined to continue his advocacy for Northeast Greeley on the City Council. Having experienced homelessness as a teenager, Spencer understands firsthand the challenges and struggles faced by vulnerable individuals and families. This personal experience has fueled his drive to make a difference and has led him to coordinate multiple voter registration drives. Through these initiatives, he has empowered marginalized individuals to exercise their right to vote, amplifying their voices and ensuring their concerns are taken into account.
In addition to his community advocacy work, Spencer has also taken on the role of mentor, providing guidance and support to other young leaders in Macomb County. By sharing his experiences and offering assistance, he has helped nurture the growth and development of these emerging leaders, ensuring a stronger, more inclusive future for the community.
Now, Spencer is taking his commitment to the next level by running for a seat on the Mount Clemens City Commission. Seeking to represent over 15,000 of his neighbors, he aims to collaborate with the community in order to find equitable solutions to the various issues facing the city. His key priorities include citywide economic development, the revitalization of outdated infrastructure, and the support and enhancement of the city’s parks, community centers, and neighborhood clubs.

JaWhan is a dedicated resident of West Michigan with a strong work ethic instilled in him by his parents. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, JaWhan grew up witnessing his father’s tireless efforts to provide for the family. His mother, a proud Union Steward at the Post Office, also played a significant role in shaping his understanding of hard work and service.
In 2004, JaWhan made the move to Kentwood and embarked on a career in the Avionics industry. Over the years, he gained valuable experience working for various firms before landing a position at GE Aerospace in 2011. It was there that he became actively involved in the Union, initially serving as the Election Committee Chair. JaWhan’s impressive dedication and ability to connect with his colleagues led to his election as Steward on two separate occasions. Currently, he is proudly serving his third term as President of UAW Local 330.
As Steward, JaWhan consistently demonstrated his commitment to enhancing employee morale and minimizing disruptions in the workplace by resolving disputes and fostering positive relationships among colleagues. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked closely with management to prioritize the safety of the employees.
With extensive experience as a negotiator, JaWhan has achieved numerous victories at the bargaining table. His exceptional problem-solving skills and unwavering support for working-class families have established him as a tenacious advocate for those in need.

Ariane is a dedicated advocate for the Rochester Hills community, driven by her passion for service. Growing up, Michael was raised by his hardworking mother, who dedicated over 30 years to teaching in public schools, and his father, who served as a firefighter at Norfolk International Airport and retired as a Captain.
Education has always been a priority for Michael, and he has pursued a diverse range of academic achievements. As an alumnus of Park University, VA Tech, Norfolk State, and UVA, he understands the value and significance of both traditional and nontraditional education. After dedicating 20 years to the Air Force, Michael embarked on multiple overseas missions, including an 8-month deployment to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan for Operation Enduring Freedom, providing support to missions in Afghanistan. It was during this time that Michael realized his strong connection to his hometown and made the decision to retire from the military and embark on a new journey as a cybersecurity entrepreneur in Virginia Beach.
